Like a lost soundtrack to a VHS about diving bells, Elton Johnny explores the sounds in-between thoughts, the ambiguous moods where smiling and crying happen simultaneously. Brewed somewhere out in the mental interzone from which Sun Araw and Peaking Lights may have first crawled, the music of Elton Johnny combines retro electronics like kid's keyboards with vintage rock instrumentation and modern abstract sound-crafting to achieve a sound that is as vaguely similar as it is eerily different.
Every performance on this album was a live improvisation that was later edited, with the turntablism & samples added at a later date.
